A: During the summer months, there is a portable restroom available near the shelters. The James "Pate" Philip State Park Shelter has an indoor restroom facility near the shelter.
Q: Are sinks available at the shelters?
A: Sinks are NOT available at most shelters. We recommend that you bring hand sanitizing wipes or your own supplies for hand washing/cleaning for your event.
Q: How many people are allowed to be at the shelters at one time?
A: You may have a group of up to 99 people at your event. For groups of 100 or more, you will need to obtain approval from the Board of Commissioners and Executive Director and you may be required to make arrangement for portable restrooms or insurance.
Q: How many picnic tables are available at the shelters?
A: Depending on the shelter, there are typically 4-8 picnic tables available for seating at the shelter.
Q: Are we allowed to have an inflatable attraction, tent(s), dunk tank or amplified sound at the shelters?
A: These are considered Special Requests and must be approved by the Park District’s Board and Executive Director prior to your event. In addition, a minimum of $1 million in general liability coverage with a certificate of insurance naming Bartlett Park District as additionally insured is required. If you will be having tents or amplified sound at your event, you will also need to obtain permits from the Village of Bartlett.

A: NO. Alcohol is not allowed at these facilities.

The Apple Orchard Shelter is a perfect spot for your picnics and other outdoor events! The shelter is located at Sycamore and Stearns Roads, across from the Thomas C. White Administration Center. Picnic tables and electrical power is available at the shelter for your use.

Jim Jensen Shelter Directions
The Jim Jensen Shelter is a great location for your picnics and other outdoor events! The shelter is located near the intersection of S. Bartlett and Stearns Roads, on the North side of Stearns. Picnic tables and electrical power is available at the shelter for your use. This shelter is not available for rent, but is a "first come, first served" shelter.

Bartlett Park Directions
The Bartlett Park Gazebo is a wonderful spot for many different types of events! The Bartlett Park Gazebo is ideal for small weddings, wedding picture sessions, and renewal of vow ceremonies. Located in Bartlett Park, the Gazebo was built in 1990 to commemorate Bartlett's centennial.
Choose the Gazebo the next time you want to take memorable photos, have an outdoor birthday party or other special event! The gazebo size is approximately 32 x 32 feet.
The Gazebo is available to all residents of Bartlett for a nominal permit fee and must be reserved through the Park District office to avoid conflicts. Contact the park district registration office at (630) 540-4800.
Resident Permit Rate = $17/day
Non-resident Permit Rate = $34/day
Am I allowed to be in the Gazebo earlier than my rental start time or stay later than my rental end-time?
No. You may only use the Gazebo during the time stipulated on your rental confirmation. If you think that you will need extra time to set up or clean up, you must rent out the facility for this time.
Do I have to obtain and pay for a permit for the Gazebo if I am only planning on being there a short time for pictures?
We highly recommend that you obtain a permit for the Gazebo, even if you will only be there for a short period of time. If you arrive at the Gazebo to take your photos and another group is there who has rented out the Gazebo, you will not be able to use this site to take your pictures.
Is there a time limit for taking photos at the Gazebo?
Yes, the time limit is two hours.
